Every job ends with before-and-after photos sent to your phone. Most of what we clean is above your sightline — you should never have to take a ladder's word for it.

Yes. Coast Is Clear is operated by CSQS Ltd, an established Worthing company, and insurance documentation is available with every quote.

Light rain rarely stops gutter or drain work — sometimes it helps us flow-test. Wind is what cancels ladder work, and heavy rain makes roof and pressure washing pointless. If the forecast kills your slot we rebook early and you lose nothing.

Usually not — most work is outside. We confirm everything in writing beforehand and the photos close the loop. If access needs unlocking (side gates, garages), just sort it before we arrive.

Bank transfer or card once the job's done and you've seen the photos. Regular customers on spring/autumn schedules are invoiced per visit.

Once a year suits most coastal homes — autumn, after the leaves are down. Houses under trees or with a history of moss are better twice a year. We'll tell you which yours needs after the first visit, not sell you a schedule you don't.

Before-and-after photos of every run, sent to your phone with the invoice. It's the standard we'd want if we couldn't see the work either.

Small refixes and reseals are often doable on the day and we'll quote them before touching anything. Bigger repairs — sagging runs, replacement sections — get a separate fixed quote rather than improvised work.

Access to the sides and rear of the house, and cars off the drive if we're working above it. You don't need to be home for most jobs — photos close the loop.

Included if you tell us they exist when you send the photo — they're usually a small add-on rather than a separate visit.

Because it damages concrete and clay tiles — strips the weathered surface, forces water under the laps, and can void what's left of any tile guarantee. Scrape-and-treat is slower and costs us more labour, which is why the cheap quotes skip it. Your roof outlives the difference.

Scraping removes what's there; treatment slows regrowth substantially. On the coast, expect a well-treated roof to stay clean for several years rather than forever — sea air is relentless. We'll be straight with you about your roof's exposure.

As little as possible, and never on tiles that won't take it. Most work happens from ladders, edge protection or access equipment appropriate to the job — that's priced into the quote, not discovered on the day.

Ask when you send the photo — panel washing with the right kit is often possible as an add-on, and we'll say honestly if your setup needs a specialist instead.

We use treatments to the manufacturer's label, protect what's below while we work, and tell you of any re-entry time before we start. Beds and lawns get sheeted where debris will fall.

Usually the gully below it, especially if the gutter overhead looks fine. Send a photo of the puddle and the pipe; it's normally obvious which end is guilty, and we'll quote for the right fix rather than both.

No — foul drainage is a different trade with different kit. We handle rainwater and surface-water drainage: gullies, downpipes, channel drains. If it smells, you need a drainage plumber, and we'll say so for free.

Mostly, yes: gutter and downpipe guards, a sensible clearing schedule, and cutting back whatever's feeding the gully. We'll tell you what's actually causing yours — sometimes it's a £15 guard, sometimes it's next door's sycamore.

It can be — repeated flooding with clear gullies suggests the pipe run beyond is silted or damaged, which is specialist CCTV territory. We'll tell you honestly when you've outgrown us; what you won't get is a guess dressed as a diagnosis.

Not at the pressures we use — and we re-sand the joints afterwards if you ask, which is what keeps the paving locked and weed-resistant. The damage stories come from rented machines on max at point-blank range.

On the coast, expect two to three good years before the green film starts creeping back — north-facing and tree-shaded areas sooner. A cheap re-wash before it's fully gone lasts far longer than letting it rebuild.

An outside tap is ideal, and we'll tell you when we book if the job needs anything else. Everything else we bring.

That's peak season for this job — book it alongside a gutter clean and the front of the house does its best impression of cared-for, because it is.

Almost always — coastal grey is algae and traffic film, and it washes off. What doesn't reverse is UV-yellowed plastic on very old boards; we'll tell you at quote which yours is, from the photo, for free.

Frames and sills come up as part of a fascia wash. We're not a round-based window cleaner, but for one-off jobs — before a sale, after building work — ask and we'll quote it with the rest.

We sheet and rinse the beds below the work area and use products to their label. Tell us about a prized bed when you book and it gets treated like the family china.
