Gutter Cleaning in East Grinstead

East Grinstead is about an hour north-east of Worthing — the far edge of our patch — and gutters are what bring us most often. Roof cleaning, drains and pressure washing ride along on the same visit.

East Grinstead is the far corner of our patch, and we're honest about what that means: we don't do one-off dashes up the A22 — we run scheduled visit days, batch RH19 jobs together, and the prices stay sensible because the diesel is shared. If your job can wait for the next run (usually within a fortnight), you get coastal pricing an hour from the coast. If it can't, we'll say so and recommend someone closer rather than charge you for our mileage.

The town rewards the trip: the High Street's timbered and tile-hung buildings are proper heritage work — hand-cleared gutters, soft methods, nothing jetted at a 16th-century roofline — while the Victorian spread down London Road and the family estates towards Ashplats sit under High Weald tree cover that fills gutters as reliably as any seafront gale.

High Weald conditions read differently to coastal ones: more shade moss than salt algae, heavier leaf-fall, and clay tiles more often than concrete. The method adjusts; the evidence doesn't — before-and-after photos on every job, whatever the postcode.

Questions people ask us

Which areas do you cover?

We're based in Worthing and work the coastal strip from Chichester to Brighton — Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Lancing, Sompting, Shoreham-by-Sea — and inland across West Sussex: Arundel, Steyning, Horsham, Crawley, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and East Grinstead, plus the villages between.

How do quotes work?

Send a photo of the house or the problem plus your postcode, and you'll get a fixed written quote — usually the same day. The price doesn't change unless the job does. No obligation, and no doorstep pricing.

How do I know the work was actually done?

Every job ends with before-and-after photos sent to your phone. Most of what we clean is above your sightline — you should never have to take a ladder's word for it.

Are you insured?

Yes. Coast Is Clear is operated by CSQS Ltd, an established Worthing company, and insurance documentation is available with every quote.

What happens if it rains on my booking?

Light rain rarely stops gutter or drain work — sometimes it helps us flow-test. Wind is what cancels ladder work, and heavy rain makes roof and pressure washing pointless. If the forecast kills your slot we rebook early and you lose nothing.

Do I need to be home?

Usually not — most work is outside. We confirm everything in writing beforehand and the photos close the loop. If access needs unlocking (side gates, garages), just sort it before we arrive.

How do I pay?

Bank transfer or card once the job's done and you've seen the photos. Regular customers on spring/autumn schedules are invoiced per visit.
