Removals & House Clearance in Brighton & Hove
Brighton & Hove is 25–35 minutes east of Worthing — comfortably inside our patch.
Brighton and Hove is the hard-mode end of coastal moving, and the reason experienced crews earn their keep: Regency terraces with five floors and no lift, basement flats below pavement level, controlled parking zones covering most of the city, and lanes that were never meant to meet a Luton van. We move people in and out of it every week.
The single most useful thing we do for Brighton clients happens before moving day: parking. Most of the city needs a parking suspension or dispensation arranged with the council in advance for a removal van to stand legally outside your door — we'll tell you exactly what your street needs and help get it arranged, because a van parked 200 metres away is the most expensive thing that can happen to a moving day.
Student and house-share turnover keeps our man-and-van service busy in Brighton year-round, and Hove's mansion-block flats — lift bookings, porter rules, protected floors — are exactly the kind of job where a crew that's done it before is worth having. Clearances run the same range: end-of-tenancy, probate, and the occasional five-floor townhouse that needs a full week's plan.

Questions people ask us
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Worthing and work the coastal strip from Chichester to Brighton — including Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Lancing, Sompting and Shoreham-by-Sea — plus the villages inland of the A27. Longer-distance moves out of Sussex are quoted case by case.
How do your quotes work?
Every job gets a fixed written quote before we start — from a video survey, photos, or an in-person look, depending on the job's size. The quote itemises what's included, and the price doesn't change unless the job does.
Are you insured?
Yes. Coast Is Clear is operated by CSQS Ltd, an established Worthing company, and insurance documentation is available with every quote.
What happens to items you clear?
Reuse first: sound furniture and household goods go to local charity and reuse organisations. The remainder is sorted and disposed of at licensed local facilities, and we can confirm that in writing for solicitors, agents or landlords.
Do you work weekends?
Yes — Saturdays are normal working days, and evening or Sunday work can be arranged for commercial jobs and time-critical clearances.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or card, on completion, once you've checked the job. Larger bookings take a small deposit to hold the date; it's stated plainly on the quote.
